Monday, September 25th, the Warrior truck visited Alcoa Elementary School for “Community Helpers Day”.

We talked to about 80 kids about the role that trucks and drivers play in delivering the goods that make everyday life possible. We told them about the truck, what the truck does and a little about the planning that goes on behind the scenes. We also told them that Warrior is a very special truck because it pays tribute to veterans, wounded soldiers and to the soldiers who paid the ultimate price for the freedom we enjoy every day. The students were very impressed by the truck and were very attentive during our presentation. They even correctly answered several questions we asked them at the end. The kids then went back to the classroom and enjoyed one of the many products made possible by a reefer truck, ice cream.

A very special thank you to Charlie Burchfield (known by the students as Mr. Charlie) for driving the Warrior truck to the school and answering some of the questions the kids asked about driving a big truck.
